1. Project Overview
In 2024, I began participating in the Global Daily UI Challenge, a worldwide initiative where designers receive a new prompt each day to create a fresh UI concept. This challenge attracts thousands of designers globally, making it both a source of inspiration and a way to push creativity beyond client projects.
2. Challenge
- Produce high-quality designs in a limited time (daily or weekly).
- Explore new design styles, layouts, and interactions outside my regular work.
- Build a consistent design practice while keeping designs fresh and creative.
3. Design Process
- Daily Prompts — Topics included sign-up screens, dashboards, payment pages, landing screens, mobile apps, and more.
- Research & Inspiration — Looked at real-world examples, UI trends, and accessibility considerations before sketching ideas.
- Design Execution — Used my preferred tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) to bring ideas to life, experimenting with color, typography, and components.
- Iteration & Learning — Reviewed each design critically, noted improvements, and sometimes revisited older challenges to apply new skills.
4. Outcome
- Built a diverse collection of UI concepts across multiple industries (finance, e‑commerce, health, travel, etc.).
- Improved speed, consistency, and creativity in producing designs.
- Gained global exposure by sharing designs on design communities and comparing approaches with other designers.
- Expanded my personal design library of reusable components, color palettes, and layout ideas.
5. Reflection
The UI Challenge became more than just daily practice—it was a way to push boundaries, experiment without restrictions, and learn from a global community. It has also strengthened my problem‑solving skills by forcing me to think about user needs in different contexts every day.
